On Wednesday, March 9, 2011, Creekstone Farms Premium Beef recalled thousands of ground beef for potential E-coli contamination.
While the potentially contaminated beef was sent to various states, including California, Daniels Western Meat Packers and its products was not affected by or involved in the recall.
Daniels does not currently purchase from Creekstone Farms.

First Class Foods, Inc, of Hawthorne recalled almost 40,000 pounds of ground beef on New Year's Eve, however, Daniels clients are not affected.
Daniels processes its ground beef in house, and does not distribute any ground beef products from First Class.
